Evolution missing attachment detector
Last year gmail posted about their Missing Attachment Detector I was surprised this afternoon when my Evolution alerted me i forgot to add the attachment
It seems evolution has had this feature for quite some time. I couldn’t find the exact date when it was added but according to this bug report it has been there since at least 2007/09/03.
Go Evolution!!
It was added in GNOME 2.20 I believe last year. I have used Kontact in KDE for years and always had this feature. It is a great feature, one I couldn’t have lived without, otherwise people would have received thousands of emails without that attachment
Good to know.
I am not a fan of evolution… I miss thunderbird but it doesn’t have the Exchange support that I need for work (ms exchange servers)
Ya, that is exactly how I knew that Evolution has had the attachment notification. My last job had Exchange, and I will admit that Evolution did better than any other option out there even though it didn’t use MAPI but OWA. Still impressive, plus the calendar even worked which was really nice.
Oh, and for some reason, Evolution worked better in KDE than it did in GNOME for me. How that happened I will never know
Will this work for all languages or only English (presuming it parses the body for things like “Here is the file you wanted”)
@Hans not sure… I haven’t been a fan of evolution till today. I am a thunderbird fan.
